Games Workshop has lifted the lid on its annual wave of Christmas Battleforce boxes for Warhammer 40,000. Seven boxed sets are on the way for the holiday season, each built to start a new army or add a substantial chunk to an existing one, and they are expected to hit retail soon.

Here is the full lineup and what is inside each box:

Space Marines: Indomitus Task Force. A Captain in Terminator Armor, a Chaplain, a Redemptor Dreadnought, 5 Terminators, 5 Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs, and 10 Intercessors.

Chaos Knights: Helhunt Lance. One Knight Ruinator, which can alternatively be built as a Knight Abominant, Knight Rampager, or Knight Desecrator, plus 4 War Dog Stalkers that can instead be built as War Dog Brigands or War Dog Karnivores.

Orks: Armoured Blitzmob. A Warboss in Mega Armor, a Battlewagon that can alternatively be built as a Gunwagon, a Deff Dread, 3 Meganobz, and 10 Ork Boyz.

Space Wolves: Champions of Fenris. Logan Grimnar, Arjac Rockfist, and 15 Wolf Guard Terminators, a compact and very elite box built around the chapter’s leadership.

Blood Angels: Angelus Assault Force. A force led by Commander Dante, with a Blood Angels Chaplain with Jump Pack, a Death Company Brutalis Dreadnought, 3 Sanguinary Guard, and 5 Death Company Marines with Jump Packs.

Chaos Space Marines: Cult of Destruction. A Warpsmith, a Defiler, a Venomcrawler, 2 Obliterators, 5 Havocs, and 3 Mutilators.

Necrons: Disciples of the Nekrosor. A C’tan Shard of the Nightbringer, Nekrosor Ammentar, 3 Ophydian Destroyers, a Canoptek Doomstalker, 10 Necron Warriors, and 3 Canoptek Scarab Swarms.

Two things are still missing: prices and a pre-order date. Games Workshop has said pre-orders open soon but has not put numbers on any of the seven boxes yet, and holiday boxes for Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warhammer: The Horus Heresy are still to be revealed. Battleforces are limited seasonal releases that traditionally cost less than buying the same kits separately, and popular factions tend to sell through quickly once pre-orders open.

The spread covers seven different factions, from the low model count of the Chaos Knights lance to the Terminator-heavy Space Wolves box, so most 40K players will find at least one box aimed at them. It is a different kind of tabletop spending spree from the crowdfunding runs like Nemesis: Legacy on Gamefound, but the advice is similar: decide which box you want before the pre-order window opens, because these rarely linger. Watch for pricing and the pre-order date in Games Workshop’s next Sunday Preview.
