Editorial Standards & Corrections

Tap Draw Roll covers trading card games, board games, tabletop games, and crowdfunding. These are the rules we follow.

Accuracy first

Getting it right comes before getting it first. If we cannot confirm a detail, we leave it out or say clearly that it is unconfirmed.

Sourcing

  • Official sources first. We rely on publisher announcements, official websites, press releases, official ban list and card databases, and the campaign pages themselves on Kickstarter and Gamefound.
  • Credit other outlets. When a story uses another outlet’s reporting, we name the outlet and link to the original.
  • Rumors and leaks are labeled as such and are not presented as fact.
  • We link to our sources in each story.

Crowdfunding numbers

Campaign totals change by the minute. When we report a running total, we include the time it was checked (for example, “as of October 19, 2026, 3 p.m. ET”). We update stories with final totals when a campaign closes and mark the update on the story. Totals are reported in the currency the campaign uses.

Updates and corrections

  • When we add new information to a story, we add a visible “Updated” note with the date and what changed.
  • When we fix an error, we correct the story and add a note at the bottom explaining what was wrong and when it was fixed. We do not quietly change facts.
  • Small fixes like typos may be corrected without a note.
  • To report an error, email tapdrawroll@gmail.com with “Correction” in the subject line and a link to the story.

Images

We use official press images and key art and credit the source. Card images are credited to the publisher and, where known, the artist.

Affiliate links, sponsorships, and reviews

We don’t currently use affiliate links. If we add them, we’ll disclose it on any story that includes them.

We don’t currently publish sponsored content. If we do in the future, it will always be clearly labeled as sponsored.

Publishers do not review or approve our stories before publication.

We don’t currently publish reviews. If that changes, we’ll disclose any free copies in the story.
