What kind of game is Space Universalis?

Space Universalis is a solo and cooperative sci-fi dungeon crawler for 1 to 6 players, and the sci-fi successor to Dungeon Universalis. Ludic Dragon Games, based in Zaragoza, Spain, moves the system to the galaxy of 5000 AD. Character creation combines 20 species and 10 classes. A Threat Die rolled when opening doors or revealing sections can trigger Threat Cards, with 50 cards across the Encounters, Traps, Doors and Power decks. The core game includes a random map generator and a travel book of standalone missions and narrative campaigns. The box art credits designer Oscar Bribian and calls the game “The Infinite Sci-fi crawler.”

Space Universalis is one of two Gamefound launches we covered today, alongside the Too Little Time Gamefound launch, and it joins the campaigns in our Gamefound Top 10 of October 25.
