Melodies, the cooperative card game about forming a band, released in the US on Friday, October 23, 2026, from Next Move Games at $26.99.

Key facts

How does Melodies play?

Your band has to play each song exactly as written, without ever seeing each other’s cards. Each song card sets out the score. On a turn, every player plays one or more cards or passes, and the value played most often becomes the Melody for that note. You can play runs going up or down, or sets of the same number.

The catch is control. Once a riff starts, your hand stays in a fixed order, so you cannot rearrange your cards into a neater sequence. You can talk strategy freely, but you may never reveal your cards or say what you are about to play. A song only counts if every note is played correctly and every player finishes with an empty hand.

What is in the tour?

Ten venue packs that take your band from rehearsals in a garage to a stadium show. Each new venue adds songs, instruments and audience members, and winning at one venue unlocks a tougher challenge at the next. A game takes about 30 minutes, so a group can play a venue or two per session and work through the tour over several weeks.

Next Move Games is the Plan B Games studio behind Azul, and Melodies was also one of the thousands of new releases on show at SPIEL Essen 2026 the same week.
