What are dual-type cards?
Dual-type cards carry two types on one card, and Dual Fusion is the first time they appear in Pokémon TCG Pocket. The two confirmed examples are Mega Mewtwo X ex, a Psychic and Fighting type, and Mega Greninja ex, a Water and Darkness type.

What else arrives with Dual Fusion?
Special packs make their Pokémon TCG Pocket debut with Dual Fusion. The Pokémon Company says special packs open with special pack stamina, which recovers once a week, and each pack is guaranteed to contain one star card. Special Pack: First Partners runs from Saturday, October 31 to Saturday, December 26, 2026, and features the first partner Pokémon from each of the nine regions.
Six Dual Fusion rental decks, including dual-type decks built around Mega Mewtwo X ex and Mega Greninja ex, will be available from launch until Tuesday, December 15, 2026, at 5:59 p.m. PST. A new elite deck featuring Mega Rayquaza ex and Dragonair will be sent to players’ Gifts, and Mega Greninja covers and backdrops arrive starting Saturday, October 31, 2026.
For the second anniversary, players will be gifted a ticket that can be exchanged for a booster pack guaranteed to include a two-star card. Separate Pika Pika! Pikachu missions, celebrating 30 years of the Pokémon TCG, run from October 20, 2026, to October 20, 2027, and players who log in for 10 days can obtain a special Pikachu ex immersive card.
